I'm BACK! Whoo-hoo! It's so awesome what a real vacation does for you. I came back all relaxed, rejuvenated, TAN and raring to go! Cancun was so relaxing and not scary at all like a few friends on Facebook warned me about. We were in the resort area with hotels, trendy restaurants and nightclubs....no guns or freaks. So, my boyfriend has this motorcycle and I've ridden it a few times before, nothing major, mostly around town, out to lunch, etc. But last weekend Scott said he wanted to do a 'run' and wanted me to come with him.He was going to borrow his friends larger bike (I forget the name of it, some big Harley), the kind he really wants to buy; to see if I like riding longer distances on the back of it.He assured me that this larger bike would be much more comfortable to ride on the back, it would have a back rest (as his has one but it's a pain to put on so he rarely puts it on) and it even has a stereo!So I said sure, what the heck, I'm game....it's one of his passions so I need to do more with it … [Read more...]

Kat’s Health & Wellness Experience, One Month Retest

Ok so I had my one month retest this week. That was fun. The doctor I see tests your body fat %, weight of course, the age of your cells and a few other things. I lost 7 lbs overall, all of which were fat lbs which is great and lost 4% body fat. Plus I gained 2.5 lbs in muscle. What I like about this eating plan is it's something I can do for the rest of my life pretty much. Granted he doesn't want me to eat any grains or wheat - so no bread, rice or anything for the rest of my life. Well, that's not going to happen because I absolutely LOVE SUSHI but I really don't miss most of it. I'm lucky I guess, I've never been one of those people who crave and want breads all the time. On a more personal note, I know really none of you know I've been going through this medical diet/eating plan thing to basically clean out all the junk and make room for more healthy eating and living practices. Not because I was sick or anything but I'm pushing 40 (in a year from April) I thought I'd better 'go get double checked out' you know?I tell you, it was hard at first - the doctor didn't want me to eat any meat, fish or eggs for 14 days! OMG, I thought I would die. So for a while I've been a little in a fog, hopefully you couldn't tell.
