First of all, let me ask the question you may be asking, which is ‘why do we want to hold interactive conversations with our prospects’?
Well, this last couple years has been tough for many business owners and business ‘as usual’ isn’t the same anymore. Things have changed, markets have changed and your prospect’s thinking has also changed. They typically require a lot more interaction and trust now before making a buying decision.
This means you may have to spend more time with certain prospects than you did just a couple short years ago.
I’ve found recently actually that holding these ‘Interactive Conversations’ with
people have given them the connection they need to be able to make a better and quicker buying decision. And the best thing is that they aren’t necessarily buying low end products and services these days; they are actually spending more on targeted services and programs that will provide the solution they’re seeking.
So, here are a few tips you can use if you choose to implement this type of marketing strategy:
- Don’t offer a free coaching session or consultation – they will assume they’re getting coaching from you and this is NOT a coaching session.
- Schedule enough time for each of these so that you don’t have to rush, so you can get to know them and what they’re biggest challenges are around whatever it is that you do.
- Sell higher end services, products or programs from these conversations. If you’re going to invest your one-on-one time with them you want to be compensated if it’s a good fit.
- Don’t go into each conversation looking for a sale; you want them to make a decision if it’s a good fit to work with you but you can’t be tied to what that decision is or you will come off less authentic and salesy.
- Don’t talk about your products or services until after they’ve felt like they really know where their pain points are and they feel like they can’t stand being in that place any longer.
There is so much more to this type of marketing strategy and how to best utilize it in your business. It can be a very lucrative strategy however even if you have to invest a little more personal time right now. But in looking at your alternative; do you want to continue doing things like you have been and get the same results?
