What’s a V.I.P. Coaching Day Like?


Today I want to share with you a little about why some of us do V.I.P. Coaching Days (with others AND as a business model for ourselves)….

As a small business owner who is doing much of my business ‘online’ or world-wide; it’s important to have multiple streams of income set up which means multiple business models in place in my business to support that.
Many people talk about multiple streams of income and I’m NOT referring to a network marketing company, direct sales, MLM or downline model here.
I’m talking about positioning yourself as the EXPERT in your field for helping people through what you teach, sell or coach about. 
Not everyone is cut out for this type of business; it takes a lot of self confidence, courage, faith and taking decisive action.  However if you have that, you can do this (or anything you choose really) and you can literally charge what you want because the right people will pay.
Now, it’s not about charging so much it’s astronomically priced for the value you receive; yes, when you charge much more than others, you want to deliver great value.  (but that doesn’t mean you have to give more of your TIME)
Now V.I.P. Coaching Days is ONE of these multiple business models you could choose to add to your business (or your funnel of offerings); you may not do it right off the bat but you can sure lead up to it at some point if you ‘feel’ it’s a good fit for how you like to teach/coach and how your ideal clients like to learn/buy.
Most people I know charge anywhere from $5,000 – $25,000 for the privilege of spending ONE whole day with them.  (you can see how lucrative this can be!)   It’s not uncommon to charge on the lower end when you first start out, then once you start offering it to folks (and often times BEFORE you even sell one) you get the courage up to charge more.  And it’s easy to double or triple this in no time. (Unlike traditional pricing thoughts, raising fees a certain percentage little by little – you don’t have to do it that way when you have the confidence and faith/belief that you are worth it.)
In 2009 I invested in two different coaches for their V.I.P. Days for different reasons; they had what I needed to know and I wanted to learn it from them FAST, not over time in their entry level group program or by reading their products which I knew I would never open if I bought.
In 2009 I also launched my own V.I.P. Day with Kat; but it wasn’t until I actually paid for one myself that I then had the confidence to charge for one to my clients.  (This is pretty common with all big investments in myself and my business, not only for me but for most entrepreneurs and mentors I know; often times you have to make the investment yourself before you believe you can do the same thing or believe you can charge more.)
Here are a couple recent pics from one of my VIP half days I have with my mentor this year, Lisa Sasevich of TheInvisibleClose.com.  We met in her home in La Jolla, Scott was there too (he’s so supportive) and then the four of us (with Lisa’s husband Michael) went out for a long slow dinner over wine after.  It was great fun and we got a lot accomplished.
So, if you’re curious about HOW investing in a VIP Day with someone can help you, here are a few tips to think about:
  1. What are your biggest challenges right now with your business (or life)?  You want to find someone distinctly positioned to help you with this.
  2. Who do you resonate with that is distinctly positioned to help you with this?
  3. Who will make you STRETCH to your full potential?
  4. How can you make this happen if you feel in your gut this is what you need?  How can you find the money to invest whatever it is you need to invest to do this?  (Never say “I can’t afford it” or you’ll be shooting yourself in the foot Universally Speaking.)
