The 6 Signs You May Be Playing Too Small in Your Business

This information has been gathered through the many entrepreneurs I talk to on a monthly basis. There are hundreds and hundreds of small business owners out there thinking and playing way too small when they could literally be taking bigger leaps and jumps on their way to success.

We aren’t conditioned to think this big when we’re growing up. Our parents might encourage us to be doctors, lawyers or some other worthy profession but rarely do they ever even think about saying to us “You could be a multi-million dollar online business owner!”. This just doesn’t happen does it. This is because they weren’t conditioned to think this big either; it’s just how most of us grew up.

Luckily the budding entrepreneurs of the future and the younger generations today are starting to get a grasp on this concept early on; often times before their parents even know what’s going on

Now it’s time for YOU, the solopreneur, entrepreneur, home based business owner to learn what’s possible for you and your business too.

But the information isn’t just going to drop in your lap you know. You have to seek out information and mentors who can help you.

Here are 6 signs that you may still be playing way too small in your business (next week I’ll get to ‘your life’):

1. You haven’t hired an assistant yet
2. You only accept one form of payment in your business
3. You are only focusing on what and who you can sell to locally
4. You don’t invest at least $3000-$30,000 annually on your continued learning, training, workshops and mentors
5. You haven’t raised your rates in well over a year (yes, even in the recession)
6. Your revenue goals for this coming year are 2-10% over what you did last year (if that)

How do you measure up?

I hope this does NOT describe you. But if it does, isn’t it time to take your business by the horns and step it up and get some skin in the game?

Seriously, what are you waiting to happen….you think you’re going to win the lotto?

You can totally transform your business into a smooth-running, money-making, passion-driven and freedom-based business if you really want to. You just need to pull up those big girl panties, gather up your confidence, have a little faith and take action.

If you want some guidance on what to do to transform your life or your business into a business that will sustain you for a long time and one that makes you want to get out of bed every day, then I suggest you hire a coach, mentor or enter into a program where you’ll get some one-on-one coaching.

I have many different levels of programs for anyone’s budget and level of expertise. I’m happy to discuss where might be a good fit for you in one of my Getting Acquainted Sessions, it’s on me.
